Designed with both patients and providers in mind, the Northside East Cobb Medical Center offers a calm, accessible setting for care. The project focuses on creating a welcoming experience while supporting the practical needs of a growing healthcare campus.
At hrd, we focus on creating spaces that work well and feel good to be in. The Northside East Cobb Medical Center is a great example of that approach.
This four-level, 100,000-square-foot medical office building sits on a 12-acre site and was designed with both everyday use and long-term growth in mind. From the start, we looked at how the building could serve patients, staff, and the surrounding community in a thoughtful, lasting way.
On the outside, the building combines clean, modern elements with more familiar materials. Windows are placed to bring in natural light while still maintaining privacy for medical offices. A central glass feature creates a clear point of entry and gives the building a strong, welcoming presence. Stone, brick, and metal details work together to create a look that feels both professional and approachable.
Inside, a two-story lobby provides an open, comfortable arrival experience. Artwork throughout adds warmth and reflects the character of the local community, helping create a calm environment for patients and visitors.
The site was also planned with the future in mind, including space for a second medical office building. Parking and infrastructure are set up to support that growth while keeping things running smoothly day to day.
At its core, this project is about supporting healthcare in a way that’s practical, welcoming, and adaptable over time.
