Our New Studio
In 2019 we embarked on a quest to find a new home—a journey that took an unexpected turn with the onset of the pandemic. As the world adapted, so too, did our vision for our office, evolving from a traditional workspace to one that prioritized a sense of place over mere functionality.
Location, Location, Location
The search culminated at the intersection of Peachtree Street and the vibrant arts district of Midtown, a place rich in history that resonated with our roots dating back to 1909. Here, a complex of industrial buildings, beautifully renovated to embrace modernity, offered the perfect backdrop for us. The blend of old and new became a guiding principle, reflecting our journey and our aspirations.
Research and Insights
In a post-COVID world, we delved deep into understanding what employees now valued in their work environment.
Hybrid collaboration spaces recognize the need for flexible work arrangements.
Private enclaves are dedicated to focused, hybrid meetings.
The importance of personal space and moments of privacy, in an open environment.
Flexible and reservable workspaces that adapt to a variety of work styles.
Informal connect areas to foster spontaneous collaboration.
A commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
These findings shaped a new vision and laid the foundation for a list of must-haves that would guide our design choices. We emphasized natural light, vibrant colors, mobility, and a clutter-free environment.
The Design Vision
Our vision synthesizes the tactical realities of our findings with a commitment to aesthetic and functional excellence. Throughout design development we considered…
Material Palette
A harmonious blend of iron, wood, stone, and glass reflecting both the industrial legacy and modern architectural principles.
Natural Light
Maximizing exposure to sunlight, the architect’s best friend, to create an inviting and uplifting environment.
Balance
Striking a balance between open spaces and private areas, ensuring a seamless flow between collaboration and focused work.
Culture and Identity
Designing a space that embodies our brand and fosters a new company culture, with an unforgettable entryway and a coffee hub that encourages connection.
Color Palette
Color played a pivotal role in our design, carefully selected to reflect our rich history while also signaling a modern future. We incorporated timeless architectural colors like blueprint blue, linen paper, and graphite gray, which evoke a sense of tradition and stability. These historical hues are beautifully contrasted with vibrant, modern chartreuse, adding a fresh and energetic touch that speaks to our innovative spirit—all of which laid the foundation for our new brand.
Our new home is not merely a workspace—it’s a reflection of our journey, our values, and our commitment to creating a professional environment that adapts to the needs of our people. By embracing the past while looking towards the future, we’ve crafted a home that inspires, connects, and nurtures creativity.
So as we all settle in, we remain committed to evolving alongside our team. Regular feedback sessions allow employees to express their needs and preferences, ensuring that the office continues to adapt to changing dynamics. This ongoing dialogue fosters a culture of continuous improvement. We’ve created a new home that embodies our vision and values, setting the stage for our continued success in the years to come!
